Image style

Burckhardt’s image style is characterized by an authentic and natural visual aesthetic. It important to ensure that people play a key role not only in portraits and situational images. In architectural photography, too, people should always be shown in connection with the building. Exceptions are permitted.

Portraits

Burckhardt employees are portrayed at eye level, looking into the camera in their working environment. The posture can be casually standing or sitting.

The photo repository of the employee shoots is located on the Burckhardt drive \\stheno\images\company\employees\portrait (please copy the link into Explorer).

Working situations

Burckhardt staff can also be pictured interacting with each other in various situations at work. Evocative detail shots of work situations can also be shown. The photos look unstaged and natural.

Focus: architecture

Architecture with people

Busy rooms, buildings and squares are shown. The focus is on the architecture in which people are depicted. They can be e.g. on the way to work, walking through certain passages or at a lookout point.

The photos focus on people interacting naturally with their surroundings and with each other. These can be indoor and outdoor shots that portray activities such as playing, working or in some way using the architectural space. The photos should evoke a positive mood.

Architecture without people

In terms of composition, a clear perspective plays a key role. Attention should be paid to the careful composition of the photo and to correcting distortions, for a result that is as faithful to reality and as accurately proportioned as possible.
